Which way to fly,

Choose a private jet for speed and distance — city-to-city and international routes over ~150 km, flown airport to airport. Choose a helicopter for short hops under ~150 km and point-to-point access to helipads at resorts, venues and hill stations that jets can't reach. Jets are faster and larger; helicopters are more flexible on landing.

A private jet gives you total control of schedule, privacy and time — you skip check-in, security queues and layovers, and fly on demand to more airports. Commercial first class is far cheaper per person and better for solo long-haul travel. Private jets win on time and flexibility for groups and time-sensitive trips; first class wins on outright cost.

Turboprops are the most economical choice for short regional routes (under ~600 km) and can use short, unpaved airstrips that jets can't. Private jets are faster and more comfortable over longer distances but cost more per hour and need proper runways. For hill stations and small airfields, a turboprop often wins; for speed and range, a jet.

Charter makes sense for most flyers — you pay only for the trips you take, with zero capital, crew, hangar or maintenance costs, and you can pick the right aircraft for each route. Ownership only becomes rational at very high annual usage (typically several hundred flying hours), where fixed costs are spread thin. Below that, charter is more flexible and far cheaper.
