How the pricing works
Indian private jets are chartered on a per-flying-hour basis, not a per-seat fare. The aircraft is yours for the trip, so a 4-seat light jet and a 14-seat heavy jet sit at very different points on the scale.
Most quotes also fold in repositioning (flying the empty aircraft to your departure city), crew duty, ground handling, landing and parking charges, and applicable GST. A short hop on an aircraft already based in your city is the most cost-efficient scenario; a one-way trip that strands the jet far from base is the most expensive.

Light jets (Citation CJ-class) sit at the entry of the range; midsize, super-midsize and heavy/ultra-long-range jets (Challenger, Gulfstream, Global) climb from there.
Flying hours
The single biggest driver. Pricing is per hour in the air, so route distance matters more than passenger count.
Repositioning / empty legs
If the nearest available aircraft has to fly empty to reach you, that ferry time is billed. Booking near an aircraft's home base lowers cost.
One-way vs round trip
Round trips where the jet waits for you are often better value per hour than one-ways that leave the aircraft out of position.
Ground costs & permits
Landing, parking, night-halt, FBO handling and (for international) overflight/landing permits all feed the final figure.
Notice & season
Peak wedding season, festivals and last-minute requests tighten availability and firm up pricing.
