Inside Earthitects Stone Lodges

Earthitects Stone Lodges — created by the design studio behind Evolve Back Resorts — is a cluster of fifteen private residences spread across a 13-acre forested hillside in Wayanad, Kerala. Each lodge is freestanding, set deep into the treeline with no other residence in sight.

The design vocabulary is elemental: local stone, sustainably sourced timber, and open-plan interiors that blur the boundary between room and forest. Wayanad's biodiversity — langurs, hornbills, and occasional leopard sightings on the neighbouring reserve — provides a backdrop that no curated experience can manufacture.

Signature experiences

  • Private forest trail walking from your own lodge door
  • Open-air bathing with canopy views
  • Guided wildlife birdwatch in Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
  • Plantation walk through tea and coffee estates
